Stranded on a desert island!

With the summer months upon the horizon & dreams of sunshine & thoughts of our summer holidays approaching. I thought I would tell you all what my 5 essentials would be if I was stranded on a desert island!!!

Palm trees , sand , coconuts , sea !!!!..... What more could a woman want!!!???

Well I would need  to have these 5 items in my life saving kit to survive on a remote desert island! ( that is of course if deodorant, razors , food & water were obviously in unlimited supply!!!).

The first item on my desert island list would be the weleda skin food. I absolutely love this balm / moisturiser . It gets me through the whole year with no dry skin & can be used anywhere on your body!!! I mostly use it on my face & you seriously only need a small blob of this stuff as it's just so nourishing a little goes a long way. I also use it on my elbows as it gets rid of that dried up wrinkled skin that's been hiding all winter!! ( come on everybody , we all know you get that too!!!)
It's a must have!!!

Secondly it's got to be my burts bees replenishing lip balm with pomegranate oil. I cannot live without this!!! It makes my lips so soft & the pomegranate oil does give the balm a slight hint, so it's perfect for an "everyday , stuck on a desert island look!!)
I'm not a huge fan of all burts bees products, but their lip balms are an absolute must!

Now for my hair.... Well we all know that your hair must be kept looking our best on our stranded island...we never know who could be passing by on a
luxury speedboat!!!

Presuming I'll have a shampoo & conditioner my third must have will definitely be creations garden argan oil. I have used lots of different argan oils in the past but was never quite happy with the way it made my hair feel....until I found this little bottle of goodness. I actually picked this up in tk maxx & have since gone back & purchased 3 more bottles in case it ran out!!!
It really is the best argan oil I've ever used. It doesn't leave a residue on your hair & its left so silky after it's been applied but doesn't look greasy.

My fourth must have to keep my hands hands looking smooth & young is the body shop Honeymania hand cream. This has been a stable favourite of mine for a very long time. I must have 3 tubes of this hiding in various places & my
hands feel amazing after using this yummy smelling concoction!
I did go off the body shop for a while , I think I just got bored & wanted something different , but I must admit it's been my go to brand for the last few months.

Last but not least is the book I am currently reading & the book that gave me the inspiration to write this post.
I don't think anybody could be stranded on an island without a book & what an apt book to take with me!!!

It's called " the island" by Victoria Hislop. I literally can't put it down!!!! I really suggest this book for a holiday read, while lying by the pool or on the beach..
It's won several awards & is a story about an island set off Crete. I don't want to tell you too much but it follows a young lady going back to this island , to find out about her family. Swing by Amazon & read the full description but I can guarantee you will love it!!!

What items can you not live without & take on a desert island with you?
