Dont need the sun to shine to make me smile

Who remembers the song by Gabrielle " don't need the sun to shine to make me smile"???

Well with this dreary weather the last few days , I decided that I needed some Positive thoughts & motivation to truly make me feel like the sun is shining brightly in the sky even when it's not!!!!!

So what cheers me up on these grey clouded sky days & keeps me motivated & focused on all the good things that are around the corner??

Here are 5 things  that make me smile , even when the sun isn't smiling down on me!

The first thing that puts a smile on my face on a gloomy day is an injection of colour ! It could mean wearing my bright yellow sunshine top or bringing the flowers from my garden into my home. Yellow roses , yellow daffodils or even a bowl of bright yellow lemons!!!  These things are bound to cheer up a gloomy day!

How about lighting a wax melt. This can change my mood instantly .On a not so sunshiny day , I love to burn my Yankee candle wax melts.  Yankee do a great range of  what I call "take me away" scents. My favourite is beach wood &  how this reminds me of summer holidays & days on the beach!

Crank up your tunes!!!!  Put on your all time favourite summer songs. They could be songs that remind you of your holiday , golden oldies that spark certain happy memories.

Of course I have lots of other songs that are my happy songs, but these are the ones that immediately spring to mind.

How about surfing the web! On non sunshine days , I love browsing the web for dream holidays ( every girl can dream!)  , summer clothes,  old holiday photos , looking at new summer beauty products . It's so exciting to look at  future blog posts ideas , try out new products & post about our hopes & dreams.

Finally smile!!!!  Nothing brightens up a day more than a beautiful smile!
Smiling is actually contagious , so by smiling you could be brightening up lots of people's days without even knowing it!
